Geography

Amanor is built within the natural defensive landscape known as the Amanian Mountains. It spans between the southern border of Orgard and the eastern border of Ilbed, marked by the river town known as Faelyn’s Crossing.

The home of House Vathen, Andragus, guards the northern Amanian border and most of their seafaring trade is established through their southern coast city of Alhein.

People and Culture

The people of Amanor are a proud race of humans and do not initially find small talk or relations with outsiders enjoyable. Though they were originally settlers with mining family backgrounds their protection and well-being was always a priority with their leaders, House Faelyn, of which can be traced back to Validian heritage. During the rule of the Bavadors it was common knowledge that the people were ultimately dissatisfied with their leadership following the Amanian Rebellion and secretly prayed for the safety and return of their young prince, Korin Faelyn.

History

Amanor was founded in 500 CE by House Faelyn and their supporters, House Althorand. In 872 CE King Wilhelm II established dominance over the Five Kingdoms of Men with a marriage between him and Princess Rae of House Faelyn.

In 990 CE House Bavador and House Vathen, two Great Houses of the Southern World usurped the throne from House Faelyn and wiped out their houses in what would later be called the Amanian Rebellion. Under the guise of helping quell this rebellion the King Oswald XIV of House Greyhem sends an army from Sovereign led by Hiro Cortlabar and Wein Beranedyn to keep the peace in the south.

During the reign of King Ramse of House Bavador Amanor saw its political and economic policies begin to crumble. Duke Erik of House Vathen, under the guise of a philanthropist, orchestrated a large crime syndicate from the northern town of Andragus and funded research that led to the experimental and unstable mutagen known as Project Abaddon.

Following the Second Great War in 1009 CE, Amanor was returned to order with the reinstatement of Korin of House Faelyn as its rightful monarch.
