The Keeper of Truth, one of the highest ranked magi in the Circle of Twelve, is responsible for maintaining the History of Tenamyr within the Lexicron. The Lexicron houses many tomes of old. Since the Age of Prosperity, the Keepers have housed the oldest tomes of history within their towers at Sorbithia, even some that are dated from the Age of Light and of elven origin. Most scholars of Tenamyr consider two major time periods, Before Common Era (BCE), which predates the liberation of humanity from Grindelwald Maultor and the Common Era (CE), which follows as the current era. Of course, many records from the various wars and conflicts have left the true timeline scattered and unsung heroes of history forgotten. Error filled conjectures and purposely rewritten events from various sources and damaged documents. Though riddled with some inaccuracies, scholars from around the world consider the Keeper of Truth’s timeline record to be the most accurate.

Ages of Tenamyr:

Age of Cosmos | Age of Creation | Age of Light |Age of Despair | Age of Prosperity | Age of Exploration

Age of Cosmos

The Age of Cosmos is the apparent birth of all worlds. A time when the Primordial Deities brought their children, the Titans, to cultivate the virgin universe. Most of what is known is speculation, myths, and legends, with the knowledge of the elves fueling most of the narrative within the tomes at Sorbithia, brought there by the elven twins and Warriors of Light, Amon’Quel and Ledonel, during the Fourth Age of Tenamyr.

These two brothers helped form the ancient towers around Tenamyr and created the schools of Sorbithia. As such, they controlled most of the historical recordings prior to the beginning of the Age of Prosperity.

The Primordial Deities Awaken:

Somewhere within the cosmos of the universe the primordial deities come into being, they create a plan for the universe and scribe a blueprint and syllabus that contains the truth of all beyond the veil called The Codex Eternal.

The Birth of the Titans:

The Primordial Deities, Chaos, Order and Balance call out to the cosmos for any that would be worthy to help them carry out their plans laid forth within The Codex Eternal. The Titans, beings of immeasurable power, and considered to be the children of the Primordial Deities, heed the call.

War of the Titans:

The Primordial Deities begin to seek differing goals for the newly created cosmos and new worlds. The Titans create the Spheres of Influence, the celestial energy planes required to keep new worlds and the cosmos in a flux of balance between chaos and order. This great war split the Titans into these Spheres and they create a way for each Sphere to gain power based on the fervor of their followers, gods, and worshipers in the worlds to come.

Tenamyr is Created:

The creation of Tenamyr was during the end of the War of Titans, it is considered to be a world predominantly within the Sphere of Balance, and as such, is constantly thrown into flux between the Spheres of Influence. Not much is known about the creation of the world, but it is said to be born from a celestial object crafted by the Primordial Aspect of Balance, The Great Gaias.

Age of Creation (10,000 BCE – 6,000 BCE)

The Age of Creation is described as the time in which Tenamyr was created by the elemental deities and ends with the First Elf, Atzantiel, being brought to what would later be known as the Porthulsti Forest. The first races are created by the gods and civilizations begin to flourish in their respective lands with little to no conflict between them.

10,000 – 9,800 BCE: Tenamyr is Grown:

Valnyr becomes the Lord of Magic and uses The Great Gaias to create four elemental gods to help cultivate the virgin world of Tenamyr. Porthos, Auroria, Vogul and Roccob are created to help creation take hold on the new continent.

9,800 – 9,500 BCE: Arrival of Chaos and Order:

Valnyr creates a prestigious structure called the Tower of Illyrium that acts as a conduit to the Celestial Realm. He stores The Great Gaias within the new tower. Malviticus, God of the Abyss, and Tantalasia, the Goddess of Good are born from the elemental gods.

9,500 – 8,500 BCE: Earth Shaping of Tenamyr:

Malviticus and Tantalasia construct Spheres of Good and Evil to create an equilibrium within the new world born out of the Sphere of Balance. Auroria, Tantalasia and one of their first creations, Vassis of the Feykind begin to plant crystal Soravendomas trees throughout Tenamyr. The birth of the Fey created a beautiful and pristine land lush with flora and fauna.

8,000 – 7,600 BCE: Birth of the Braveal:

Bored with their landscaping, the gods model their first humanoid after themselves. The Braveal were created within the northern mountains and spent four hundred years learning and evolving, finally settling, and founding the first civilization and city in Tenamyr, they called Madurai.

6,000 BCE: Arrival of Elves and Minotaurs:

The First Elf, Father Atzantiel, rumored to be the brother of Valnyr, is brought to what would later be known as the Porthulsti Forest. It is there that he meets the goddess Auroria who has taken the form of an elven maiden named Jenraslia. Valnyr, the Lord of Magic, then brings a tribe of sentient minotaurs from their homeland of Minos across the sea to settle in the valleys of the Gorgath Mountains with their leader, Asteria. He creates another tower within the valley which acts as a conduit to the Celestial Realm and Minos that helps get the minotaurs to the Gorgath Valley. Shortly after, Valnyr is trapped underneath the tower, sealing it off from an unknown evil threatening the newly formed world of Tenamyr. Asteria and the refugees from Minos found the city of Ordos at the site of Valnyr’s sealed tower.

Age of Light (6,000 BCE – 1,000 BCE)

The Age of Light was a time where the gods began truly creating the inhabitants to enjoy their hard endeavors during the previous age. The birth of many new races, the fall of elder societies, and the arrival of the stranger that would call himself Grindelwald Maultor all are marked in clear history books within Sorbithia. Though the age was dominated mostly by the forces of good and order, this world of balance is forever in the sights of jealous gods and at the end of the age, corrupt humans.

6,000 – 5,993 BCE: The Birth of Elves:

Father Atzantiel falls in love with Jenraslia, and they begin to have children, considered to be the Children of Auroria, unbeknownst to Atzantiel, this new race of elves possesses ageless lives and freedom from disease.

5,850 BCE: The Birth of Drow:

Vogul and Malviticus, interested in the elven people attempt to create their own version of them but create the Drow instead. They do this by returning souls of dead elves that found their way to the Abyss. Sixteen dark elves were created in the dark caverns below the Gorgath Mountains.

5,760 BCE: The Spire of Higher Being:

Father Atzantiel and his children create the Spire of Higher Being at the base of their tallest mountain, Mount Ortis. It is there that they found the first elven city of Porthul. The Spire itself is said to grant the elven Lorac, called the Speaker of the Forest, to be able to commune with the Celestial Realm.

5,600 – 5,548 BCE: The Fall of Ordos:

Asteria the Matriarch, of the new minotaur city of Ordos, spends most of her time fending off attacks from the aggressive Drow that live in proximity. Her two grandchildren, Osiris and Anubis, feud over the direction of their people. Fed up with the feuding, Asteria presents her grandchildren with the mighty Gjallarhorn, a celestial object said to have been a gift from her father Asterion. She explains that she can no longer watch as they fight and decides to leave them to sort out their differences. The Drow kingdoms that had been rising to power during the turmoil at Ordos resulted ultimately in the destruction of their city. The minotaurs chose sides between the feuding brothers and Osiris bested his brother in combat. Anubis leaves the Gjallarhorn with Osiris and decides to take his followers to the frigid mountain peaks of the northernmost mountains, calling it Anubia.

5,546 – 5,543 BCE: The War of Selenyr:

Asteria discovers a Soravendomas tree to the southeast of Anubia within a lush valley. She saves a young girl, Atla, with the power of the crystal tree and they obtain the knowledge of everlasting life together . Nomads begin to live at the camp that Asteria and Atla create, and it is eventually called Hornhome. Seeing that her grandson, Anubis, was facing defeat at the hands of the Drow of Selenyr, she takes her followers and assists in beating the Drow Queen back to her subterranean city.

5,500 BCE: The Valpheggi:

The lizardmen have been evolving since the Age of Creation in the southern parts of the Old World on the western side of the Porthos River begin to utilize tools, pottery, and primitive buildings of a fledgling civilization.

5,250 BCE: The First Thule:

The Drow Queen of Selenyr, having suffered many losses at the hands of the Anubians, uses abyssal conjuring to summon the first Thule, an abjuration of immense telepathic power and dark magic. Selenyr is soon overrun by this new threat and the Thule take control of the minds of Drow and minotaur alike.

5,031 BCE: The Rise of Rathanos:

A Braveal named Rathanos is crowned Emperor of the Braveal, he begins launching offensives against the neighboring minotaur city of Cragor.

5,024 BCE: The Rites of Rama-Tuk:

A well respected warrior and hero named Rama-Tuk liberates Cragor from Emperor Rathanos. Against the wishes of the descendants of Asteria, the Magni, Rama-Tuk proclaims himself Chief of Cragor. He presents anyone who could beat him in singular combat to take the Chiefdom from him. The tradition of might is right is adopted in most of the dominant clans of the Gorgath Valley minotaurs.

5,000 BCE: The Maelstrom:

Emperor Rathanos of the Braveal claims to be a god and has his people worship him. Porthos, the God of Water, angered by this blasphemy, smites their capital city of Madurai with a meteor of pure Celestium, the godly metal of the Celestial Realm. Madurai is sunk to the sea and the resulting cataclysm cleaves the continent in two, creating the vast Porthos River.

4,991 BCE: The Sealing of Selenyr:

The Thule Overlord of Selenyr begins to attack the outlying territories of the Drow and Minotaurs. A group of warriors including Rama-Tuk, Asteria, and Atla the Orphan succeed in sealing the gates of Selenyr but lose Asteria within the overrun city.

4,976 – 4963 BCE: The Osirian Empire:

Chieftain Rama-Tuk of Cragor denounces the leaders of the minotaur clans, the Magni, claiming them responsible for the suffering of their people and the rise of the Braveal. Rama-Tuk conquers Osiris and receives the Gjallarhorn from the Grand Magnus. The Magni from the other clans under threat of death and exile agree to the rule of Rama-Tuk as High Chieftain. He allows the Magni bloodline to retain their estate but vows that they will never rule again. He establishes the minotaurs into a unified force called the Osirian Empire, a place in which each clan could follow the strong and anyone could be the leader, not just those of Asteria’s blood. He allows Atla the Orphan and her Blood Druids of Hornhome to remain as a separate entity and acknowledges the Anubians as strong and able to rule their own as fit in isolation, but are obligated in their fealty to assist the High Chieftain if ever called upon.

4,950 BCE: The Birth of Ogre:

The Braveal begin birthing the modern-day Ogre. An unintelligent, ugly race of brutes, the exact opposite in contrast to the Braveal, who were stunningly beautiful, and highly intelligent. There are few Braveal left within the Gorgath Mountains, those who survived are revered as 'High Ogre' and rule their mutated children from what remains of their once mighty civilization. They believe this is a direct result of the godlessness experienced under the rule of Rathanos.

4,851 BCE: The Founding of Xellos:

An unknown acolyte from Hornhome known only as the High Priest decides to settle at the volcano between Osiris and Anubia, claiming that this holy mountain named 'Ghar Ja'lal' would become a sanctuary to all who would cast aside their pride and vanity in the eyes of the Empire and come to a higher calling in revering in peace and the Earthen Mother. They call this new city Xellos and carve a marvelous church from the heart of the mountain that they call the Seat of the High Priest. The followers of the High Priest come from all clans and begin to call themselves the Earth Brothers and Earth Sisters.

4,612 BCE: The Citadel of Xellos:

The Citadel is created in Xellos as a place to train any in the arts of sorcery. For the first time since the Fall of Ordos a place existed within the Osirian Empire that Blood Druids of Hornhome, Cragori Gladewalkers, Osirians and Anubians alike could come to learn together in sanctuary.

4,375 – 4,350 BCE: The Birth of Dwarves:

Roccob, God of Earth, creates the Dwarves on the eastern side of the Gorgath Mountains in hopes that their resolve will help deal with the aggressions of the Drow and Thule in the subterranean caverns. They found the city of Urbor Dun shortly after.

4,300 BCE: The Drakkenwood:

E’rod, eldest son of Atzantiel takes some of his children and followers across the Porthos River to a lush forest they call the Drakkenwood. He founds a city called Mynethra and begins to teach his followers a new type of ability that seems to be within his bloodline, druid magic.

4,200 – 3,900 BCE: Dibbledorf:

A settlement of Dwarves leave the Halls of Urbor Dun in search of new lands outside the dark caves they called their home. These nomadic dwarves eventually, after getting over their fear of water, settle on a jungle island with an inactive volcano they call Dibbledorf. The Ancient Fang Wyrm, Morlincantha, wages war on the newly settled dwarves.

3,898 – 3,000 BCE: The Gygaxian Crystal:

The dwarves of Dibbledorf find a new way to deal with the dragon, crafting weapons from a local mineral called the Gygaxian crystals and a rare ore they called Aegium.

2,750 BCE: The Birth of Gnomes:

After prolonged exposure to the Gygaxian crystal the dwarves evolve into a super intelligent subrace now called Gnomes.

1,800 BCE: The First Men:

Vogul and Malviticus continue their creations, having been intrigued by the reverence of the elves in the gods. They created a new race called humans, the First Men, as they were called possessed immortal lives as was with most of the elder races, however, their offspring was that of mortals. This was meant to teach the First Men compassion and have an ever-evolving wisdom to rule justly and righteously. The First Men settled the north-western mountain ranges in the Old World where they founded a society within their lush paradise called Pardoxus.

1,600 - 1,300 BCE: The Exodus of Man:

Having faced the loss of their offspring, some of the First Men decide to leave Pardoxus and their volcanic mountain range they named Iranikis. Some humans head south, further expanding into the southern regions of the Old World. Some nomads settle on the Plains of Zaardun, creating tribes within the bluffs and fields of wheat and discovering a form of magic within them that is later called a ‘Spellsword’. A member of the First Men, calling himself Khargynoth, would continue venturing with his band of followers that he named the ‘Sons of Vogul’.

1,250 - 1,150 BCE: The New World:

Khargynoth and his Sons of Vogul cross the mighty Porthos River and land on the eastern continent where the Porthulsti Forest is located.

1,100 - 1,095 BCE: The Fall of Atzantiel:

Having become insanely jealous of the elves, the God of the Abyss, Malviticus, breaks the sacred rule of the deities by interfering with their creations. He utilizes an elder demon of the Abyss, said to be from the Age of Cosmos, called Pale Night to possess the Elven Mother, Jenraslia, who is unbeknownst to all aside for the gods, the Goddess of the Four Winds, Auroria. Pale Night was successfully able to murder or destroy most of the Porthulsti Elves, including Father Atzantiel and his kin, including his successor, Porthanian. E’rod of the Drakkenwood declines the ascension to Speaker of the Forest and the position passes to Atzantiel’s youngest son, Galadrius. E’rod and Galadrius were able to seal the possessed Earthen Mother within Atzantiel’s Sanctum with the power of the Crystal Periapt, an amulet with the essence of elven vitality. E’rod utilizes most of his power and attains an uncontrollable druidic form at the entrance to Atzantiel’s Sanctum on Mount Ortis, forever stopping anyone who dares to enter the tomb and release the Mother of Demons, Pale Night.

1,050 – 1,011 BCE: The Red Star:

A red star or comet is noticed in the night sky by all the races of Tenamyr. Some consider it an omen; others simply believe it to be an unknown object of the outer layers of the planet. It continues to orbit until crashing within the fertile lands of the Iranikis mountains, close to the First Men’s land of Pardoxus.

1,010 – 1,002 BCE: The Stranger:

Two of the First Men, Azcol and Olto, leave the sanctity of the Iranikis Mountains and discover that there is a blight emanating from the crash site of the red star. They meet a stranger in white robes who lays his hands upon Azcol. This touch from the stranger would ultimately leave Azcol with a mind riddled with madness. As Azcol and Olto journeyed with their followers south to the Great Desert of Tenamyr a premonition given to Olto from touching a giant Soravendomas tree would be the final catalyst for his deranged brother, Azcol to commit the first murder of humanity, earning him the moniker of the Father of Murder. Azcol takes his followers back north towards Pardoxus, but some supporters and kin of Olto remain at the Soravendomas, creating a new village called Tiezali. Azcol never makes it back to Pardoxus, his madness brings him to the jungles where he has his followers and children worship him. They create an encampment called Azcotitlan and begin to construct a temple for their immortal leader, Azcol the Immortal. The stranger from the east, as he would first be known makes his way from the blighted lands to the peaceful land of the First Men, Pardoxus. He brings them news of the encroaching blight, spreads deceit of an unseen elven assailant and their armies, and ultimately shows magic to the fledgling humans.

Age of Despair (1,000 BCE – 1 BCE)

The Age of Despair was the turning point of Tenamyr. It was the beginning of the tyrannical Validian Empire and the heinous acts they committed against the free folk of Tenamyr. This age was dominated by war and strife from all corners of the world and no race was safe from the aggressions of humanity under the leadership of Grindelwald Maultor, their immortal emperor.

1,000 – 996 BCE: The Rise of the Validian Empire:

The stranger from the east, Grindelwald Maultor, proclaims himself the Champion of Malviticus, the One True God. He begins to spread his religion and gifts magic to some of the First Men, who one by one begin to believe that he is a savior to their people. As the lands surrounding the crash site of the Red Star, now called ‘the Great Rift’, begin to increase the toxicity of the once fertile landscape, Maultor spreads rumors that the lands are being poisoned by evil elven magic. He uses this to his advantage and begins to militarize the once peaceful city of Pardoxus. He renames the city Validus and begins to train the people in the art of war.

995 BCE: The Gauf Warlords:

Furthering his hold over the First Men, Maultor claims that they could have unlimited power to save their people. He convinces ten of the First Men to accompany him to the Tower of Illyrium to the north of Validus and claims that if they devote themselves to the One True God, Malviticus, that they will be granted the power to save their home. One by one the First Men signed their names into the Great Gaias, the object that was placed here by Valnyr, Lord of Magic, so long ago. Unbeknownst to the First Men, by signing their own names into the Great Gaias they were severing their souls and binding them into its pages, their souls left to be reborn again in the world of Tenamyr, as the Great Gaias was meant to do, it turned the First Men into soulless servants of Malviticus and his champion, the Dark Emperor, Grindelwald Maultor. Calling his new servants, the Gauf, these warlords would serve as his lieutenants and confidants in his upcoming plans of conquest.

990 -905 BCE: The Destruction of the Soravendomas:

As Emperor Maultor continued to build up his military strength, he ordered the destruction of all the crystal Soravendomas that the Validian Empire could find, claiming that they were conduits for elven scrying.

900 BCE: Azcol the Betrayer:

Azcol the Immortal, leader of the Kaizul, approaches the Plainsmen of Zaardun under the guise of peace. His fear of the Spellsword magic within the plainsmen is seen as a threat to his people. He secretly sews the seeds of deception amongst the tribal leaders and afflicts the Zaardunians with curses, blaming it on the Spellsword magic.

879 BCE: The Humans of the Osirian Empire and the Founding of Haven:

Humans born in the Osirian Empire feel that they have nowhere to go so they build a mott and bailey in the heart of the Gorgath Valley and call it Haven. They claim that they want to create a city where anyone is welcome without a home.

850 BCE: Exile’s Way:

The tribal chiefs of Zaardun begin to exile those with the spark of magic and many of them create an encampment in the mountains or venture east across the Porthos River to join with the Sons of Vogul and Khargynoth.

840 - 833 BCE: The Fall of the Spellswords:

Azcol curses the Plainsmen with a new plague that affects those with magic and the leaders of the Zaardunian holy city of Kuruk send those with magic away indefinitely. Azcol uses this deception to cripple the fighting force of the plainsmen and ultimately conquers most of their northern territories on the border of the Kaizul Jungle. The fear of magic is instilled within the Plains of Zaardun until the end of the Age of Prosperity and they were never a threat to the Kaizul again.

621 BCE: The Rise of the Slave Trade:

Within the Osirian Empire, the sanctuary city of Haven begins to lose their original goal through greed and the acquisition of wealth. It becomes the epicenter for the slave trade within the Osirian Empire.

534 BCE: The Great Purge:

After years of militarizing the populace of Validus, Emperor Maultor realizes that humanity is wavering in their loyalty to him and the Gauf. He convinces them to reluctantly and on occasion, violently, sacrifice their children. He makes them believe that they will all be born to sympathize with the elves. These ‘children of the blight’ would be purged through a spell from Grindelwald and the next generations would grow to resist the blight. In actuality, the emperor was performing a blood magic ritual to ensure obedience from all the new children of Validus. After ensuring that all the children of Validus were sacrificed, Adramelech, one of the Gauf Warlords, hid his newborn son, Gerum Greyhem, from the fate of the purge, an act of compassion that would one day prove to be the downfall of the Dark Emperor.

425 - 415 BCE: The Forlorn Society:

Following the Great Purge it was easy for the emperor to convince the Validians to pledge their allegiance to Malviticus. He established a group of soulless individuals that would carry out the most important tasks. These acolytes of Malviticus were called the Forlorn Society. In addition to the creation of this organization he created a position called ‘the Watcher’, one trusted member of the Forlorn Society that could commune directly with the God of the Abyss. This position allowed him to have an even greater hold on his organization and ultimately a devoted follower that could help incite the masses to follow orders.

339 - 317 BCE: Independence of Haven:

Haven is approached by the High Chieftain of the osirian Empire in and demands that the city pledges its fealty to the Chiefdom. The ruling class of Haven refuse to yield and begin constructing massive walls to fortify their city. Haven is attacked by Osiris and Oslen in an attempt to usurp control from their rulers. Haven withstands their attack and get the Osirians to agree to allow Haven to continue to operate as an independent city-state. The leaders of Haven name their elite warriors the Haven Sentinels.

150 - 82 BCE: The War of Urbor Dun:

The Drow begin a war with the dwarves by invading their home city of Urbor Dun. The war lasts for many years until Ulgar of Clan Shinestone successfully beat back the Drow armies and found the Halls of Frosthammer with his group of companions.

12 BCE: The Silver General:

Arthur Greyhem is promoted to the General of the Second Battalion of the Validian Empire following his victory over the Great Wyrm, Aegrion, within the Blighted Lands. Arthur creates a greatsword from the tooth of his slain foe.

11 BCE: The First Great War:

During the beginning of the Validian conquest of Tenamyr, Arman Gill, teacher of Arthur Greyhem, Vandar Rowan, and Eldromus Cortlabar, received a premonition within the desert whilst among the Soravendomas of the Tiezali. Arthur Greyhem is chosen to be the Champion of Tantalasia, and he begins to question the emperor’s motives. Due to his ancestor being rescued from the horrors of the Great Purge, Arthur can see through the evil ways of the Emperor Maultor and begins to inspire these feelings in his men. He forms an alliance with the elves after falling in love with Galadrius daughter and Cael Vaeili’s sister, Merianna.

10 BCE: The Betrayer:

During the Battle of Porthul, Arthur’s best friend and confidant, Eldromus Cortlabar, betrays him to the Gauf. Many lives are lost on both sides but ultimately the Validians are driven from the Porthulsti Forest.  Arthur confronts Eldromus and the Gauf, Sammael the Corrupter, at the edges of Porthul. Sammael escapes after increasing Eldromus’ power with the help of some unwilling Validian Soldiers but is nevertheless defeated by Arthur and his companions. Before Arthur can deliver the final blow, Cael Vaeili curses Eldromus in undeath, sending him to the abyss. Lorac Galadrius and his son, Cael Vaeili have a falling out due to his trust of humans and refuses to send any more elves to their deaths. Cael decides to leave his home of Porthul with his followers, including his cousins, Amon’Quel and Ledonel.

9 - 8 BCE: The Solisteri Elves and the Founding of Eldrethen:

Following the exile of Cael Vaeili and his kin from Porthul, they headed southwest to start a new home amongst the giant yew trees. They called this new home Solstice. As they formulated their next moves, Arthur Greyhem took Merianna as his wife. Amon’Quel and Ledonel steal a celestial object from Galadrius, the Hourgem of Valnyr, and venture to the Old World to visit the Fey Queen, Vassis, and deliver it. They believe Emperor Maultor wishes to use the Hourgem of Valnyr in his conquest and will stop at nothing to retrieve it.

Meanwhile in Validus, following news of Arthur’s betrayal of the Validian Empire, his friend, coined the ‘Sly One’, Vandar Rowan, rescues Arthur’s younger brother Argyle and Eldromus’ young son, Raenor. They embark on an arduous journey and escape the Blighted Lands into the Gorgath Mountains and the Osirian Empire. Vandar meets with the dwarven thane, Ulgar Shinestone, by chance, and forms an alliance with them.

When Arthur and his Silver Army finally reconnect with Vandar and Ulgar in the Gorgath Mountains they establish a stronghold in the protective cliffs, they call this stronghold Eldrethen. The creation of this stronghold cut off the seemingly endless armies of Validus and their allies in the Brawlg Ogres, the Osirian Empire, and Drow raiding parties. Eldrethen is left in the hands of Argyle Greyhem and Gerald Swordhand while Arthur leads skirmishes in the Hybolean Plains during the First Great War.

7 BCE: Khargynoth and the Sons of Vogul:

Arthur Greyhem and his companions meet the Sons of Vogul, Khargynoth and Arinax in the Hybolean Plains, he convinces them to join their cause. The Sons of Vogul wield magic more powerful than anyone has ever seen, and they begin to turn the tides on the Validian Empire.

6 BCE: Purging of Evil:

Vandar Rowan, following lore from an old dwarven tale, climbs to the peak of Ghar Amal to find a blue rose, purging himself of his past sins and devotes himself to Tantalasia, the Goddess of Good.

5-4 BCE: Birth of Edgar Greyhem:

At the site of what will later be known as Greyhem, Merianna gives birth to Arthur’s son, Edgar. Arthur and his armies take over a Validian stronghold across from the Western Fold of the Old World called Sovereign. He leaves regional governors in control and his son in the capable arms of his mentor, Arman Gill, and prepares to take the battle across the Porthos River and end the Validian conflict for good.

3 BCE: Grimbane, the Ender:

During a battle in the Blighted Lands, Arthur Greyhem slays a marilith general with his forged greatsword. The blade reacts with the death of his foe and receives magical properties. He calls the blade Grimbane, the Ender.

2 BCE: Eldromus Blackheart:

Arman Gill receives a premonition of the return of Eldromus Cortlabar from the Abyss and a vision that he needs to protect the son of Arthur. Arman hides the child, Edgar, with a caretaker and lover, a woman named Norma at the Faelyn Residence in Sovereign.

1 BCE: The Speaker of the Wind:

Cael Vaeili asks his younger brother, Tharonar, to take his place as the Speaker of the Wind, Lorac of the Solisteri should anything happen to him while he fights alongside Arthur Greyhem in Validus.

Age of Prosperity (0 CE - 1009 CE)

The Age of Prosperity is an age where the world of the humans became much larger. Their warlike passions never truly ended, having settled new lands in this new world, the once virgin continent soon became a haven for growing kingdoms and great houses following their emancipation from Validus.

Much of the histories of these times have been altered by the Magi of Sorbithia, who launched a campaign against their once plainsmen allies in a hundred-year war that changes the ways magic could be used in the new kingdoms.

The Age of Prosperity, as called by the human race, was the very change of the sociopolitical positions of most races as they began to separate their interests and close their borders to each other as the humans expanded their territories further driving them back from their ancestral prairies and mountain ranges.

0 CE - 1 CE: The End of the First Great War:

Arthur Greyhem and his Silver Army, Ulgar Shinestone and the Dwarves of Frosthammer, and Cael Vaeili and the Solisteri Elves, launched their final campaign against the Validian Empire and were able to defeat Grindelwald Maultor and his Gauf Warlords. Having separated Emperor Maultor from his celestial object, his Keystone, they were able to seal him and his immortal servants within the confines of the impenetrable Tower of Ilyrium. To prevent a tyrant like the Dark Emperor from ever rising again, Ulgar Shinestone used his axe forged of Celestium, Silverspark, to break the Keystone of Grindelwald into (7) fragments after realizing that much of his power was tethered to it.

The Founding of Greyhem:

Arthur Greyhem and his companions return to Sovereign as heroes, they are coined ‘Warriors of Light’ by the masses and Arthur is chosen to lead the people. Unbeknownst to him, this leadership is chosen not only due to his natural abilities to lead and strength to govern but also, due to his ancient blood unaffected by the magic cast by Grindelwald Maultor during the Great Purge. Upon returning from the war, Arman Gill informs Arthur that his son, Edgar, had succumb to fever and died peacefully in his sleep. Arthur was devastated, the last memory of his beloved Merianna, and his only son, lost during this conflict.

Arthur returns to the eastern area of the Hybolean Plains, the very place that Edgar was born and began to build his home in honor of them, the very place that would become the capital of his kingdom and namesake for years to come.

2 CE: Rise of Sorbithia:
